Elon Musk vs India? Starlink Row Explodes Over ‘Oligarchs’, Ambani & Security Concerns | News18

News18 haberi, Starlink'in Hindistan'da gecikmeli ticari lansmanına ilişkin anlaşmazlığı ele alıyor. Musk, adı açıklanmayan "oligarklar"ı engelleme ile suçlarken Mukesh Ambani'nin etkisini de sorguladı; hükümet ise tekel iddialarını reddetti.

Elon Musk’s Starlink is at the centre of a growing showdown with India over regulatory approvals, national security and allegations of corporate influence. Musk accused unnamed “oligarchs” of blocking Starlink’s entry into India to protect their market dominance. He later questioned whether Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani was the “real boss of India,” escalating the dispute over the satellite internet company’s delayed commercial launch. India’s Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia rejected claims of monopoly or preferential treatment, saying the government does not allow monopolies and that satellite operators must meet security requirements before beginning commercial services. Starlink and other licensed operators are awaiting key clearances and spectrum-related approvals. The controversy also raises questions about India’s digital sovereignty, foreign technology companies, lawful interception, data security and the balance between attracting investment and protecting national interests. Security scrutiny has intensified amid earlier reports of Starlink equipment being recovered during law-enforcement and military operations in India.
