Shishamo fishing suspended after sharp decline; 30 fish landed in first resource survey in four years, Mukawa, Hokkaido

A resource survey off Mukawa's Mukawa fishing port in Hokkaido checked whether shishamo fishing can resume at full scale. Around 30 fish were landed, below the 50 needed for auction, and the catch was the first in four years.

北海道の鵡川漁港沖で10日、シシャモ漁が来年以降本格操業できるかどうかを調べるための資源調査が行われました。 　むかわ町では、特産品のシシャモの資源回復のため漁を休止していて、今回が4年ぶりの漁となりました。 　シシャモが50匹を上回れば競りにかけられる予定でしたが、10日に水揚げされたのは30匹ほどでした。 むかわ町　栃丸直士町長 「きょうは調査の一環なので、ゼロじゃないということをすごく祈っていたし、結果実際にシシャモの資源はとれていたので、そういう意味ではすごく良い一歩だったのではないか」 （「グッド！モーニング」2026年10月11日放送分より） [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
