Two police dogs honored for finding illegal drugs that officers had missed: about 80,000 yen street value

Two police dogs from the Chiba Prefectural Police have been commended for helping find illegal drugs. The award was presented on the 28th at the Chiba Prefectural Police headquarters to the dogs Diana and Gina. In May this year, the dogs detected more than 35 grams of stimulants and cocaine, with a street value of about 800,000 yen, in a car seized from a drug trafficking group. The drugs were hidden in a passenger-seat storage compartment, which officers initially did not find.
