Man allegedly thrown into Dotonbori River: “I was carried off while drunkenly singing”

An attempted murder case was reported in the Dotonbori River in central Osaka. A 53-year-old man from Nishinari Ward says he was walking along the river singing when he was confronted by five young people after some kind of trouble. He says three of them lifted him and threw him into the river, where a passerby found him and called police. He was taken to hospital for hypothermia, and police arrested five people on suspicion of attempted murder.

16日朝、大阪の中心地・道頓堀川で殺人未遂事件が発生しました。 　被害に遭ったのは大阪市西成区の53歳男性です。 　道頓堀川沿いを歌いながら歩いていたところ、何らかのトラブルがあり、5人の若者たちに絡まれたといいます。 　男性によると、そのうち3人ぐらいの男に担ぎ上げられ、道頓堀川に投げ込まれたということです。 　川の中にいる男性を通行人が発見し、通報しました。男性は低体温症で病院に搬送されました。 　警察は、道頓堀川の近くで男性の話と似た男女5人を発見。殺人未遂の疑いで緊急逮捕しました。 　逮捕されたのは大阪市の23歳、自営業の中江愛斗容疑者と、奈良市の20歳、保科玲央容疑者、他に15歳から17歳の男女3人で、5人は友人とみられています。 　被害男性とは面識はなかったとみられ、警察はトラブルになった経緯などを調べています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
