JR Uchibo Line suspended section: free bicycle rental for up to 12 hours

Following Typhoon No. 25, train service on the JR Uchibo Line between Nagaura and Anegasaki stations remains suspended, with restoration expected in late December at the earliest. Chiba Prefecture has started a bicycle rental service to help commuters get around. Riders can borrow bikes for up to 12 hours at no charge through a dedicated app. The trip between the two stations takes about 30 minutes, similar to a replacement bus during congested hours.
