Okinawa Peace Education Under Scrutiny After Henoko Boat Capsizing

After a boat capsized off Henoko earlier this year, criticism of peace education in Okinawa spread on social media, and concerns arose that teachers may become hesitant. The documentary follows storytellers who pass on memories of the Battle of Okinawa, along with students and teachers from within and outside the prefecture. It traces the dilemmas facing classrooms and the development of peace education, and considers what should be learned and passed on to future generations.
