OPEC+ holds December oil production quotas steady for third straight month

Seven voluntary OPEC+ members agreed to keep crude oil production quotas unchanged for December. At an online meeting on November 1, they decided against additional output increases, holding quotas at the previous month's level. It is the third consecutive month of unchanged quotas. Producers have continued to pump below their assigned targets as Iran blocks the Strait of Hormuz, a key route for global energy shipments. The group says it will keep monitoring market conditions and holds a ministerial meeting on November 29. Whether to ease production cuts and expand supply next year is the main question ahead.

主要産油国でつくる「OPECプラス」の有志7カ国は、12月の原油生産枠を再び据え置くことで合意しました。 　OPEC＝石油輸出国機構にロシアなどを加えた「OPECプラス」の有志7カ国は1日、オンラインで会合を開き、12月の方針を議論しました。 　その結果、12月も追加での増産はせず、生産枠を前の月と同じ水準で維持することで合意したということです。 　7カ国での合計は1日当たり3100万バレルで、世界需要の約3割に相当します。 　据え置きを決めたのは、3カ月連続です。 　イランが世界のエネルギー輸送の要衝であるホルムズ海峡を封鎖するなか、産油国は割り当てられた生産目標を下回る状況が続いています。 　有志国は今後も市場動向を注視していく方針で、11月29日には閣僚級会合を開くことにしています。 　来年から減産を縮小して供給を拡大するかが焦点となります。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
