Robot mountain climbing race in China: 'Leave the heavy loads to us!'
A mountain climbing competition for robots was held at Mount Tai, a World Heritage site in Shandong Province, China, to test technology ahead of practical use. Ninety teams took part, and the robots were judged on both speed and how carefully they carried loads. The video shows dog-shaped robots climbing 3,100 steps, some carrying water bottles and packs, and others transporting a large watermelon and raw eggs.
