Seoul autumn hotspots as foreign visitors pass 13 million, a record for the period

Foreign visitors to Seoul reached 13.14 million by September, the highest figure for the same period on record. The report looks at autumn sights that are popular with overseas tourists, including parks where cosmos and silver grass are in bloom. It also covers cafés serving limited autumn menus with chestnuts and persimmons, and the Han River at dusk with its fountain show. Seoul city authorities say the rise in visitors is boosting local shopping streets.

ソウルを訪れた外国人観光客が9月までに1314万人に達し、同じ期間で過去最多となりました。外国人観光客にも人気となっているソウルの観光スポットを取材しました。 　ソウルの街に昇る朝日。朝晩は冷え込む日も増え、秋の深まりを感じます。公園では、コスモスが見頃に。一面に広がるススキも風に揺れています。 　ソウルといえばカフェ文化。栗や柿など秋の味覚を取り入れた限定メニューが並びます。 スペインからの観光客 「カフェもたくさんあるし、ファッションもトレンディー」 日本からの観光客 「おいしいのと、（街が）コンパクトになっているので行動はしやすいと思います」 　夕暮れの漢江（ハンガン）。都会の真ん中でゆったりと秋の空気を感じられるのも魅力の一つです。 　日が暮れると漢江を彩る噴水ショーも。冷え込む夜も、屋外の飲食店はにぎわいを見せます。 　ソウル市は、外国人観光客の増加が地域の商店街などにも経済効果をもたらしているとしています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
