Man Takes Hostage and Barricades Himself in Home in Tokai, Aichi; Arrested on Suspicion of Confinement

A man barricaded himself in a house in Tokai, Aichi Prefecture, after taking a man hostage. In the morning of the 2nd, police entered the home, rescued the hostage and arrested the man on suspicion of confinement. Neither the hostage nor the man was reported to be injured. Police are transferring the suspect to the nearest police station and investigating the motive.

愛知県東海市の住宅で男が男性を人質に取り、一時立てこもりましたが、2日午前、人質が保護され、男は監禁の疑いで現行犯逮捕されました。 　男の身柄は確保されましたが、周囲には規制線が張られていて、現場近くに立ち入ることはできません。現場の近くにも警察官が多くいます。 　警察によりますと、午前6時15分ごろ、東海市名和町の2階建て住宅で、人質とみられる男性から「私を殺そうと人を差し向けてきた」と110番通報がありました。 　警察が駆け付け、立てこもっていた男の説得を続けていましたが、通報からおよそ4時間半後に住宅に突入、人質の男性を保護し、男を監禁の疑いで現行犯逮捕しました。 　男性と男にけがはないということです。 　警察は、男の身柄を最寄りの警察署に移送し、事件の詳しい動機などを調べています。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
