Released Bear Spotted Again in Hadano; Same Animal Captured at Hokozan Park, Nearby Trail Closed
A Japanese black bear was confirmed near Zenba Pass in Hadano, Kanagawa Prefecture. Footage from a sensor camera shows a single bear walking through a dark forest. The city later confirmed that it is the same animal that was captured at the popular Hokozan Park earlier this month and then released, based on a transmitter attached to the bear. The city has closed a nearby hiking trail and says it will continue to work on public safety.
