Released Bear Spotted Again: Hiking Trail Closed in Hadano
A Asian black bear was recorded near Zenba Pass in Hadano, Kanagawa Prefecture, on the 23rd. A sensor camera captured a single bear walking through a dark mountain area. The city determined it was the same animal that had been trapped at the Kōzan Park tourist site on the 20th and later released deep in the mountains. The city has closed a nearby hiking trail and says it will continue working to ensure safety.
