Autumn foliage peaks at Kiyosato Plateau in Hokuto, Yamanashi

Autumn leaves have reached their peak at Kiyosato Plateau in Hokuto, Yamanashi Prefecture. Maple, larch and white birch trees at the foot of Mount Yatsugatake have turned red and yellow. Visitors took photographs and walked around the area to enjoy the season. A local tourism group says the coloring is typical for this year and the foliage is expected to last into early November.

山梨県北杜市の清里高原では紅葉が見頃を迎え、訪れた観光客の目を楽しませています。 　八ヶ岳の麓にある清里高原では、モミジやカラマツ、ダケカンバなどが赤や黄色に美しく色づいています。 　標高およそ1400から1500メートルに位置する清里高原は、避暑地としても人気があります。 　雄大な八ヶ岳と、色づいた渓谷や赤い東沢大橋とのコントラストが美しく、訪れた人たちは写真を撮ったり散策するなどして、深まる秋の気配を楽しんでいました。 観光客 「検索したらまずここが出たので、赤い橋とコラボでいいかなと思って来てみました。いろんな色があって、すごくきれい」 「天気も良くて、来て良かったです」 　地元の観光団体によりますと、今年は適度な寒暖差と雨により、例年通りの色づき具合だということです。 　清里高原の紅葉の見頃は11月上旬まで続くということです。 [テレ朝NEWS] https://news.tv-asahi.co.jp
