Iron Beads: Heisei-Era Toy Regains Popularity as Sales Rise 1.2 Times in Two Years

Iron beads, a toy that captivated children during the Heisei era, are attracting renewed interest from adults in the Reiwa period. According to the report, bead sales at major retailers have risen to about 1.2 times their level from two years ago. A shop offering more than 220 colours lets visitors make iron bead creations for 1,500 yen per hour. Customers interviewed say the activity brings back childhood memories and helps them focus away from their phones and daily stress.
